The short version
This website does not set advertising, tracking, or profiling cookies, and it does not share your browsing behaviour with third parties. That is why you are not being asked to accept anything.
What we actually use
We measure how the site is used with a privacy-preserving analytics service that works without cookies. It records page views and aggregate traffic patterns. It does not store a cookie on your device, does not create a persistent identifier for you, and cannot follow you to other websites.
Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies where they are required to deliver the site securely — for example to route requests correctly or to protect against abuse. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, because without them the service you asked for cannot be provided.
Our content management system
The editing interface at /studio sets cookies to keep an authenticated editor signed in. These apply only to our own staff and only on that part of the site. It is excluded from search engines and is not part of the public website.
Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Because we rely on no non-essential cookies, blocking them will not degrade your experience of this site.
